Rue de l'église St Martin
This church, which towers over the village, was built in the 12th and 13th centuries. It has one of the region’s most beautiful roman bell-towers, adorned with a sumptuous geometrical, floral decoration. The building boasts a roman-style décor on a gothic structure. The 12th century canopies are a remarkable body of sculptures. Many of them are historiated, decorated with characters, confronted animals, next to others, trimmed with a very refined floral embellishment. The altar and altarpiece – made of marble and gilded wood dating back to the 18th century – come from the old Prémontrée Abbey of Cuissy.
