Moulin de Marle
The Museum of Barbarian Times is a museum devoted to the Merovingian period based on the archaeological excavations of a necropolis and village from the 6th-7th centuries. The only one of its kind in France, the Museum has a vast archaeological park where several life-size reconstitituions of Merovingian dwellings are on display for the public. The Marle site comes to life regularly by organising activities for the general public: 'Les Journées Mérovingiennes' (Merovingian Days) or the Festival d'Histoire Vivante (Living History Festival).
