Oppidum
The City of Rèmes, cited in Cesar’s ‘Commentaries on the Gallic War’, which was made siege in 57 BC. With an area of 32 ha, this former camp was established on a plateau of hard limestone-rock. Given that it bears a very special flora, the grass currently undergoes a special type of maintenance using horses for extensive grazing. In some places, you can take the ridgeways lining the levees surrounding this former camp.
