A fortified military structure built in 1882 by the engineer Séré de Rivières, as part of a defensive reorganization plan.11 hectares in size, the site was handed over to the commune by the army in 2000, preserving its batteries, caponiers, powder magazine, living quarters, etc. Only the surrounding area is open to the public, and it can now be rented out for various activities (air soft) and role-playing games (for further information, contact the commune’s town hall). Access on foot or by bike is strongly recommended, even if the road is still passable by vehicle… Note also that the site is the subject of exceptional guided tours on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
