This monument pays homage to all those who fought in the Great War, 1939-1940 and the Resistance. It is dedicated to the memory of the dead of two alpine chasseur units, the 27th and 67th BCA, and was erected in 1947 on the site of the headquarters of Lieutenant Romieu, who was killed here on June 6, 1940.
The monument is surrounded by tables and information panels, and can only be reached on foot (about a 15-minute walk after parking on the heights of the commune of Braye-en-Laonnois)…
