Since its installation on the Chemin des Dames, the work “Ils n?ont pas choisi leur sépulture” (They didn’t choose their burial plot) has forged multiple links between its creator, artist Haïm Kern, the Aisne département and its inhabitants. Most of his work is now housed in the departmental collections in Laon. It is in this town that the artist has chosen to return to present a selection of his works, created over more than 60 years. Several recurring themes in the artist?s work are introduced by the graphic work of Maëlys Seydoux-Dumas, which accompanies and documents Haïm Kern?s pictorial and sculptural adventure.
Visit the Bernard-Noël space at Laon’s Maison des Arts et Loisirs every Tuesday (10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5:30pm) / every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (1pm to 5:30pm) / every Saturday (2pm to 5pm)!
