Beneath our feet, silent layers of earth—pedological horizons and accumulated strata—escape our gaze.
“Substrats” explores these depths through paper and paint.
The paper—crumpled, pressed, and painted—becomes relief and sediment, evoking fragments of soil. The paint reveals soil profiles, buried landscapes, and superimposed horizons.
The title refers to geological terminology and a philosophical concept: that which supports without revealing itself and makes appearance possible.
“Substrats” offers a sensory journey where matter becomes memory and the soil becomes language.
