Through this project conceived by the City of Laon in partnership with the Frac Picardie, art becomes a realm of exploration accessible from a very young age. In her work, designer Flora Koel develops an approach to design that is at once ecological, sensory, and deeply rooted in the resources of a region.
Her work explores natural materials, reuse, and simple manufacturing processes to create installations that invite children to touch, feel, and imagine.
Accustomed to designing installations for young children in cultural venues, Flora Koel envisions spaces where children become active participants in their own discovery.
Presented at the Maison des Arts et des Loisirs, the exhibition invites young and old alike to enjoy an immersive artistic experience, tailored to a child’s perspective. Here, sight extends into touch, materials invite movement, and exploration becomes a language. Far from traditional museum conventions, the space emphasizes hands-on interaction, independence, and wonder.
