Nineteen letters between two friends, a German and an American Jew, during the rise of Nazism.
As the correspondence progresses, the tone dries up between the two friends, and we witness the infiltration of fascist ideology and the horror that is unfolding.
Who’s the good guy, who’s the bad guy? What would we have done in their place? Is courage enough to turn the tide? When horror strikes, is forgiveness preferable to revenge?
