Completely devastated by the fighting of 1914-1918, the village of Craonne was not rebuilt on its original site. In memory, an arboretum was planted on the 7 damaged hectares. The hilly terrain is still a reminder of the extreme violence of the fighting.
A very moving place to discover thanks to the interpretation panels and the three Gardens of Peace that line it, created under the aegis of Art et Jardins Hauts-de-France…
