This cemetery (also known as “Beaurepaire”) was created in 1915, and then developed between 1919 and 1925. To this day, it holds 6,815 bodies, mainly French, although some British and Russian soldiers were also buried there.
There is also a monument to the 31st Infantry Regiment, whose men fell during the assault on the Bois des Buttes during the Nivelle offensive of 1917…
