Its construction began in the 13th century, and the church has a number of distinctive features: its nave comprises just two bays, and its choir communicates with two side chapels planted at an oblique 45° angle (an arrangement found in the churches of Saint Michel en Thiérache, Braine and Chaudardes); however, it was damaged during the Hundred Years’ War, and was fortified in the 16th century. The interior features a large sculpted Christ (16th century), and the exterior features a large obituary inscription (15th century), to the left of the west porch.
