Within a vast hilly and wooded landscape, the Chambrette de Mauregny-en-Haye (Aisne) is typical of the natural region of Laonnois.
The great interest of this site lies in the complementarity of the two dry and wet environments that it presents: on the sandy hillock, a moorland and grassland type environment on sand, and within a small peaty valley, a marsh type environment.
The presence of dry moors and especially of vast surfaces of naked sand confer to the site a very original picturesque landscape!
