The Musée de Vassogne offers several areas to visit: the collections conservatory, the 1919 temporary house, the Daniel Pillant space and the themed exhibitions, which deal with rural life and reconstruction after 1918.

The museum is a marvellous illustration of the balance sought between accurate historical thinking and openness to contemporary issues. As historian Annette Wieviorka recently said: “To be a historian, you need at least three things: curiosity, a taste for truth and freedom of thought This necessary dialogue constantly nourishes the “singular aura” of the Musée de Vassogne, its presence.
This is the common thread running through our activities: the culture of presence in the world and the presence of the culture of the world.
