This cemetery was built just outside the village of Craonnelle in 1920, and is home to just under 4,000 soldiers who fell in the fighting on the Chemin des Dames (including a few British and Belgians), and is the site of an annual night-time remembrance ceremony on April 16th…. The cemetery has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since September 2023…
